HOW ROSENBLATT REALTY STARTED
"WHY did you begin selling real estate?"
I started my first semester of college in 2019 as a first-generation student, and I remember being surrounded by signs at the David Eccles School of Business telling business students to go do something with their education. I took that literally because I was so beyond my budget.
I was working manual labor at a dairy and yogurt plant in Logan, Utah right out of high school. I chose real estate from a long list of options at the only technical college in town pretty haphazardly because although I’d never experienced homeownership, and neither had my family, we had experienced homelessness and shelters. Housing instability wasn’t theoretical for me; it was deeply personal.
I used to wish my caseworkers could simply help me find a safe, stable place to live as I went to highschool. Now I get to be part of that process for adults and their children. It’s not the same industry, but it’s meaningful, it’s healing, and it’s the kind of work I’m proud to do.
